This is a thoughtful gift for Grandparents, Friends or a Partner to buy for a new Mum. Also an ideal ‘baby shower’ present.
What is a Doula and what do they do? A Doula believes in ‘mothering the mother’. A Doula is an emotional and practical support to a new mother, and her family. Whether this is the first, second, or third addition to the family, a Doula is there to help support those initial first weeks of parenting. Being a listening ear, doing the washing, making the bed, cooking, settling baby, assistance with breast/bottlefeeding, entertaining siblings, running errands….and much more.
A more common place name for a Doula, might be ‘a mothers help’.
Families usually employ the services of a Doula for the first few weeks post-birth of their baby.
Note that these vouchers are for 2 hours only - any additional hours can be booked directly with me - and hours are normally booked in blocks of 4 hours minimum (3 hours may be possible if you live locally)
